Here are a few fellow local artisans I’ve had the pleasure to work with, and can recommend without reservation.

Sheldon Slate — A quarry in northern Maine that makes beautiful slate countertops, sinks, shower bases, tiles, etc. Several of their beautiful countertops and farmer’s sinks have been installed on my kitchens! They’re nice people to work with and are committed to quality, and they produce a gorgeous Maine-made product.

Sarah Christian — One of my favorite local fine furnituremakers. Sarah’s jewelry boxes are always in demand. Cumberland.

Peter Brown Blacksmithing — Pete’s a talented blacksmith and builds gorgeous custom ironwork. You’ll find him at his forge in his shop and gallery, Iron & Silk, on Route 27 in Edgecomb. (207) 882-4055

Spugnardi Design — Laurie Spugnardi makes beautiful custom tiles in South Portland. We’ve begun collaborating on a few tiled furniture projects, as well. You can see our first few pieces on her “Fine Furniture” page.
